    General Safety requirements
    Bikes and Quads

    Suitable Personal Safety Equipment is required for all Quad and Bike Class’s

    Cars, Van Bangers and Bangers

    Screen mesh of a 25mm x 25mm grid is required over the windscreen area

    No wheel weights or hub caps allowed

    All glass, headlight, taillights and side repeaters removed.

    A 3 point harness is the minimum requirement, if the factory seat belt mounting points are not used a 50mm x 50mm x 3mm strengthening pad should be fitted

    A Crash Helmet of suitable quality is required

    It is recommended that steering columns and items around drivers legs be padded with foam or similar material

    Door numbers should be clearly visible and a minimum of 200mm in hight, roof numbers must be a minimum of 100mm in hight.

    Class 1,2,3 cherry,3,4,5 and Juniors Cars

    A Roll Cage of welded construction should be fitted with 6 point fixing minimum with a main diagonal running from the bottom of the passenger side leg to the top of the drivers side leg where it joins the roof bars. A proprietary bolted in cage would also be suitable

    2 door bars should be fitted on the drivers side at thigh and rib height and 1 on the passengers side mounted half way between the two heights of the drivers side door bars, these should be mounted on the out side of the ‘A’ and ‘B’ pillars or cage legs.

    The cage and door bars should be constructed of a minimum of 25mm x 25mm steel box section with a 3mm wall thickness.

    Strengthening pads of 75mm x150mm x 2mm minimum should be placed under each leg of the roll cage.

    All doors and the boot lid if not welded closed should have a secondary means of preventing them from opening.

    The passenger door may be cut down by 1/3 in height if welded closed

    Fuel tank must be mounted within the passenger or boot area of the car and preferably be of no more than 10 litres

    The factory fuel tank should be removed or visibly holed

    A break light is required as is serviceable breaks

    A combined battery and engine kill switch is required fitted on the drivers side windscreen area

    No external strengthening out side of the production body line is permitted

    Van Bangers

    All external plastics should be removed

    A ‘H’ frame constructed from 50mm x 50mm steel box section with 3mm wall thickness minimum should be fitted, consisting of a bar running from B post to B post and 2 Vertical bars 1 of which must be central to the drivers seat position with 150mm x 150mm x 3mm plates welded or bolted at each end

    A single door bar is required on both the divers and passengers sides and may be welded or bolted between the ‘A’ and ‘B’ pillars

    The factory fuel tank may be used but must be secure

    All doors must be welded or bolted closed

    The radiator must remain the factory position

    Front metalwork is unlimited to the B pillar

    The differential can not be locked

    Rear Metalwork is permited from the 'B' pillar to the back of the rear wheel arch, it is unlimited but must be constructed from 25mm box only

    Bangers

    All external plastics should be removed

    A ‘H’ frame constructed from 50mm x 50mm steel box section with 3mm wall thickness minimum should be fitted, consisting of a bar running from B post to B post and 2 Vertical bars 1 of which must be central to the drivers seat position bolted through the floor and roof with large plates visible on the exterior

    Drivers door plate should be a minimum of 5mm thick and 200mm deep bolted through the ‘A’ pillar and ‘B’ pillar of ‘H‘ frame

    Bonnets should be bolted with no more than 4 bolts and bonnet straps/triangles on the rear corners

    All doors and boot lid to be bolted shut with no more than 4 bolts per item

    The factory fuel tank should be removed or visibly holed

    The radiator may be removed and replaced with a steam tank in the engine bay or passenger side foot well, not forward of the front face of the engine block

    The battery and small fuel tank should be secured to the ‘H’ frame or fitted within the passenger foot well

    Unlimited welding within the drivers area (front bulkhead to ‘H’ frame, inside of drivers door to centre line of the car)
